Admissions
Admission is normally offered only to Pre-primary-1 (Lower Kindergarten)children should have completed 3 years and 6 months by 1st June of the year at the of admission. In other classes, casual vacancies arising from time to time will be filled up from among applicants after testing the suitability of the student for admission. Formal applications are issued to the selected candidates on payment of the prescribed price.
Admissions to Class I is based on a test conducted during the month of January.
Admissions to Class XI are based on the results obtained by the candidate at the class X Board Examinations and the admission procedure begins as soon as the SSE X results are declared.
The periods during which admission are open may undergo changes and interested persons are advised to keep in touch with the School.
CURRICULUM
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school prepares students for ‘Secondary School Examination’ (SSE) and ‘Senior School Certificate Examination’ (SSCE).
The school emphasizes on a progressive curriculum with an interactive classroom approach. The school believes that the proper development in a child is possible only through providing proper value education Teachers are encouraged to inculcate in students, the values of life while teaching their respective subjects.
PRIMARY SCHOOL
Primary section includes Class I – V. The syllabus followed is as per CBSE scheme. The subjects taught are:
English,Hindi,Malayalam,Mathematics,EVS
Non-scholastic subjects include Physical Education, SUPW and Music.
Moral instruction is given as the school considers this an essential part of character training.
SECONDARY SCHOOL
Secondary school comprises of Class VI – VIII. The curriculum followed focuses on preparing the students for the CBSE exams. At this stage, the students have a choice for II Language and III Language. The scholastic subjects are:
English, Hindi/Malayalam/Sanskrit, Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, Computer Education, Environmental Education
Non scholastic subjects are Physical Education, SUPW and Music.
High School
The curriculum for Classes IX and X is based on CBSE syllabus.
Subjects:
English, II Language (Malayalam/Hindi/Sanskrit), Mathematics, Science & Technology, Social Science
Computer Awareness is also taught and grades are given.
Non-scholastic subjects include Physical Education, Art & Craft Education and SUPW
SENIOR SECONDARY
At the Senior Secondary Level the school offers the
Science stream.
English, Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry are the compulsory subjects.
Optional subjects include Biology and Computer Science.
Commerce stream
English, Mathematics/Computer, Business Studies, Accountancy, Commerce
Physical Education, General Studies are the non-scholastic subjects included in the syllabus.
Evaluation
The school follows a CBSE Scheme based Evaluation. All aspects of a child’s development like academic, extra-curricular, co-curricular, personal and social traits etc. are taken into consideration for the evaluation.
Examinations
The academic year is divided into 2 terms. Term exams and monthly test are conducted to assess the scholastic and co-scholastic performances of the children. The final assessment and promotion of students to the next class is based on the performance in all the exams. Students should secure a minimum of 35% in each individual subject
ELIGIBILITY
1. Students must pass the entrance test and admission will be done purely on the basis of the performance in the test.
2. Transfer Certificates and other relevant documents should be produced at the time of admission.
3. Should fulfill the age requirement as per the CBSE norms.
PROCEDURE
1. Candidates who wish to seek admission in the school must register their names in the school office or through online during March-April.
2. An entrance test is conducted on a given date for the registered candidates.
